Pre Christmas Fun

Lee and I were able to go to Las Vegas to the Maaco Las Vegas bowl to watch Utah play Boise State on December 22nd. We flew down on Tuesday and were able to relax, eat and shop.We had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe on the strip. It was really loud, the best part of the meal; watching Twisted Sister sing O'Come All Ye Faithful on the big screen TV's. It was pretty crazy. On Wednesday we didn't have to get up early for anything so we didn't rush getting up. It was pouring rain outside the entire time we were there so on Wednesday morning, Mom, Whit and I did our morning run through the mall downstairs at the hotel. We stayed at Planet Hollywood and there is a mall on the casino level that is 1.2 miles around. Luckily there weren't very many people out because the stores weren't opened yet. After another day of shopping we got ready to go to the game. The rain stopped long enough for us to watch the game. The game didn't end in our favor but we were there to support Griffin. After the game we braved crossing the field flooded with Boise State fans to get a picture with some friends from Nyssa. All of them were cheering for Boise State but that is a battle we have been dealing with since we moved to Nyssa. Almost everyone is a Boise State Fan around here. We of course are Bengals and now we are supporting the Utes as well. We are so thankful for good friends that we are able to leave the kids with. They had a good time as well. Branson was really happy to be home with his mom and dad. He loves to be at home and he loves to be with me. He missed out on both of those for 3 days so he was ready to be home. It was our first time leaving him and he did great. Hailey was a huge help with him. We look forward to many more football games and a few more years of fun bowl games. GO UTES!

After the game with friends from Nyssa. There was one more couple wearing red at the game but they left early so they didn't get to be in the picture. Notice all of us girls are wearing hats? There was no reason to do your hair. It would have been flat in minuets. Thank goodness for hats.
