An Exciting Month

Branson has already been here for a month. It has definately been an exciting one. Just an update on the adoption. We were scheduled for court on February 26th at 9:00 a.m. We found out on Monday of that week that the Oregon DHS lost my fingerprints and paperwork so my background check was not even started. So, I got new fingerprints done and all the paperwork mailed off so they can start again. We also found out that the State of Oregon requires all adoptive couples to attend training. Lee and I will be attending the training on March 19th and 20th. Then we sit and wait for our background checks to come back. We are hoping for a new court date the first Friday of April.

On a positive note. WE LOVE BRANSON! This past month has been exciting. Branson has gotten used to each of us and we have been able to adjust to having a baby again. The girls absolutely love him. Hailey is a great help. She is old enough to feed him, help with bottles and the most important part is that she is such a good help around the house. Lee told the girls that having Branson would be an adjustment for them because they would have to start doing some of my jobs while I am taking care of Branson. They have been happy to help in every way I ask them to. We are so blessed to have such a sweet little boy in our family. A few highlights from the month:

Hailey finished her basketball season. They only lost one game and it was by 2 points. Here are the girls celebrating at a pizza party.



We celebrated Valentine's Day!



Avi had her birthday!



We made homemade pizza for dinner wearing swimming suits. (Well at least Avi and Malerie were wearing swimming suits)




Everyone had fun making Branson smile and laugh.






Lee had what he says is the best meal he has ever eaten. Thanks to our friends Todd and Marilyn we know how to grill up a really good tri tip.
